Epacris limbata
is a rare shrub that only grows in the Eastern Tiers south-west
of Bicheno. It is an erect shrub with narrow heart-shaped leaves
with clasping bases. The habit and foliage are very similar to E.
gunnii, but E. limbata has flowers with a more
cylindrical corolla tube and exserted anthers. E.
acuminata also has heart-shaped leaves, but has flowers
clustered at the ends of the branches and a more compact growth
habit.
