Leptecophylla juniperina(formerly known as Cyathodes juniperina, C. parvifolia and C. oxycedrus; Ericaceae) 2:427

 

Leptecophylla juniperina (= Cyathodes juniperina; Cheeseberry) is a dense shrub with sharply pointed leaves. It grows in a wide range of habitats, from sea level to alpine areas. There are several varieties:

var parvifolia (= C. parvifolia) is an alpine and subalpine plant with small leaves (5-6mm long). The other varieties have leaves at least 8mm long.

var oxycedrus (= Cyathodes oxycedrus) grows near the coast and has a denser habit than the other varieties

var juniperina is widespread in wet forests, alpine and subalpine areas
