Compound and simple leaves


Compound leaves are divided into leaflets - i.e. the leaflets are attached separately to a midrib

Simple leaves include entire, toothed and lobed leaves
In lobed leaves, the lobes are always joined at the base by some leaf lamina (see the arrow)
