Allocasuarina zephyrea (Casuarinaceae) not in the Student's Flora

Allocasuarina zephyrea is a widespread and common shrub in western and central Tasmania. It grows in woodlands, heaths and heathy sedgelands (button grass areas).

It is closely related to A. monilifera, A. duncanii and A. crassa. It usually has thinner branchlets and smaller cones than those species.
