Lavandula (Lamiaceae) not in the Student's Flora
One species of Lavender (Lavandula stoechas) occurs sporadically on roadsides in many parts of Tasmania. It is not clear whether this species is truly established. It is an erect shrub up to about half a metre tall, with strongly aromatic leaves and conspicuous spikes of flowers, with very distinctive purplish bracts protruding.
