Prostanthera (Lamiaceae) 3:553
Tasmania has two native species of Prostanthera. Both species are distinctly aromatic and are known as mint bushes. P. lasianthos (Christmas bush) is a common wet forest shrub or small tree. It has leaves about 4-8 cm long.  P. rotundifolia is a rare shrub found in the north and east and has leaves less than 1 cm long. A third species, P. cuneata, is considered to be extinct from Tasmania.
