Lamium amplexicaule (Lamiaceae) 3:552

 

Lamium amplexicaule (Henbit) is an annual introduced herb up to 40 cm tall. It has erect hairy stems. The basal leaves have long petioles, but the leaf-like bracts under the flowers are sessile, very conspicuous and surround the stem. The flowers are pink-purplish. It is common in pastures and roadsides.
