Colura is a highly distinctive genus of leafy liverworts of
which two species occurs in Tasmania. Colura spp. are typically
epiphyllous (grows on the leaves of other plants, even larger
bryophytes) or epiphytic.
The leaves of Colura spp. are distinctively inflated - a
feature that sufficiently distinguishes them from all other
Lejeuneaceae. Microscopically, the cells have high papillae.
