Leptospermum lanigerum (woolly tea tree) is a very widespread and common shrub or small tree in Tasmania. It grows in a very wide range of habitats, but usually where there is some waterlogging. The leaves are hairy,  broadest above the middle and are blunt or with a short tip. The capsules are woolly
