Lawrencia
spicata is a common native plant of saltmarshes and sometimes
other saline places. Its leaves are very distinctive - they have a
long petiole, and the lamina is quite broad and is connected to the
petiole with a non-mobile joint. The plant has a rosette of these
leaves which produce a leafy spike of flowers that may be about half a
metre tall. |
