Dicranoloma dicarpum (Dicranaceae)

Dicranoloma dicarpum is a relatively common moss with a widespread distribution in Tasmania. It grows as loose turfs on rocks, logs and trees in wet forest and rainforest.

D. dicarpum is distinguished from all other Dicranoloma species in having pleats along the length of the leaves. Characteristically also, the capsules are borne in clusters.
