The
Tasmanian flora includes two introduced species of Polemoniaceae (Navarretia
squarrosa a smelly, spiny herb, and Collomia linearis).
The inflorescences could be confused for some Asteraceae, but the
individual flowers are all symmetrical and larger than the tube flowers
of most Asteraceae. The stamens are fused to the corolla tube.
