2. D. filiformis
3. D. viscosa flowers
SAPINDACEAE 1:196

This mainly tropical family is represented by only two native species of Dodonaea. These are known as native hop species because of their highly distinctive fruit, which has three reddish brown wings. Both species have dark green, viscous leaves. D. viscosa  has obovate leaves, whereas D. filiformis has very narrow leaves.
