| Tasmania has one native species of Aristotelia.
Heartberry (A. peduncularis) is a straggling shrub that
mostly grows in the understorey of wet forest. The fruit is a
pink-purple, more-or-less heart shaped berry that hangs on a long
peduncle. The petals are divided into three lobes.
