Tasmania has only one species of Parsonsia. Parsonsia
brownii (formerly known as P. straminea) is a large, native climbing plant that occurs in lowland wet
forests. It has large (5-15 cm long) leaves, which are opposite,
simple and unlobed. The flowers are small, cream or brownish. No other wet forest climber is similar. |
