Salix (Salicaceae) 3:647

S. babylonica

Several species of Salix (willows) have become naturalised in Tasmania, often along river banks. These deciduous trees have catkins in spring.

Three species that are possibly naturalised are not included in this key. They are Salix matsudana (Chinese willow), Salix X calodendron and Salix X sepulcralis. The latter two appear to be hybrids.
