Exocarpos strictus
is common, erect native shrub found in dry forests. It is easily
distinguished from E.
cupressiformis in the
flowers which are in small clusters (instead of in spikes) and the
spreading, sparse foliage. It is also sometimes confused with Leptomeria
drupacea, which has finer, broom-like foliage.
