Lonicera periclymenum (Honeysuckle) is a common garden plant that has become established as a weed in places in Tasmania (mainly in well watered areas). The leaves are opposite, ovate and on very short petioles. It is similar to the more common Japanese Honeysuckle (L. japonicum), except that the flowers are larger, in heads and the fruit is red.
