Salix Xreichardtii (= S. atrocinerea; Salicaceae) 3:649

Salix Xreichardtii (Pussy Willow) is a common garden plant that has become naturalised in a number of places. It is a deciduous, multi-stemmed shrub or small tree. The leaves are only about twice as long as wide. The flowers are very small,  but in short, dense spikes that open well before the leaves are grow in spring.
