Three species
of Oenothera (Evening Primrose) are garden escapes that have become established,
especially on roadsides and waste ground. The South American
species, Oenothera stricta (Common Evening Primrose) is the most
common. The flowers are conspicuous and obvious. The leaves are
serrate margined.
