Tasmania has
one native species of the large genus, Conospermum. C. hookeri
(formerly known as C. taxifolium) is a rare plant only found near sea level in and around Freycinet
Peninsula. The narrow, soft, leaves and inflorescences with abundant
small, light coloured flowers are distinctive. From a distance they
resemble some Ozothamnus species.
