Bursaria
spinosa (native box) is the only species of this genus in Tasmania.
It is a common native shrub that occurs in mainly dry
areas. Most branches are very spiny, with spines arising in leaf
axils (making them modified branchlets). The leaves tend to be
clustered in groups of about three.
