Amphibromus (Poaceae) 4b:227
Tasmania has seven native species of Amphibromus. All are slender perennial aquatic or sub-aquatic species from rivers, ditches, dams etc.

The inflorescence is a panicle (usually quite narrow and not spreading). The spikelets have several flowers, which fall separately when mature. The lemmas are longer than the glumes and have a conspicuous, bent awn attached above the middle, but below the top of the lemma.
