| Sweet vernal
grass (Anthoxanthum odoratum) is a common and widespread weed
species in Tasmania, mostly in disturbed areas, but also sometimes
in native vegetation. It is quite a moderate-sized tufted grass. The
inflorescence is a quite compact, spike-like panicle. The spikelets
have one fertile flower, plus two lemmas without associated paleas,
ovaries or stamens. |
