Glyceria (Poaceae) 4b:227    
Tasmania has one native and four introduced species of Glyceria (flote grasses). All are large perennial aquatic or sub-aquatic species from rivers, ditches, dams etc.

The inflorescence is a panicle. The spikelets mostly have many flowers, and lack awns.

Glyceria maxima is known as reed sweet grass.
