Hemarthria (Poaceae) 4b:358    
Hemarthria uncinata is stiffly erect native rhizomatous aquatic or semi-aquatic grass.  The leaves are more or less flat and up to 20 cm long and 4mm wide. The inflorescence is an elongate spike-like structure 4-8 cm long and 2-3 mm wide. The spikelets are in pairs - one sessile and and the other has a short pedicel, which partially fused to the stem. The inner glume of the upper floret ends in a small hook.
