Piptatherum
miliaceum is a reasonably common weed of waste ground,
especially in damp sites. It is a large erect plant with large
leaves (up to 35cm long and 8-10mm wide) and large, loose panicles
of numerous small spikelets. The spikelets are small, and have one flower, which
has a short awn. |
