Anemone (Ranunculaceae) 1:10
Tasmania has one species of Anemone (A. crassifolia). This is a medium-sized native herb that grows on many mountains in western Tasmania. The leaves are deeply lobed, and the flowers are large, white and conspicuous (typically 3-4 cm wide). The fruit is a cluster of achenes with hooked ends.
