Ranunculus muricatus ( Ranunculaceae) 1:18

Ranunculus muricatus is a widespread, smallish weed that grows in damp, cultivated or waste ground. The plant has both basal and stem leaves. The leaves are reasonably large, with laminas 1-5 cm long and wide. The are entire or shallowly three-lobed and are often somewhat hairy. The flowering stems carry numerous flowers that are quite large (1.5-2cm wide), with 5 glossy yellow petals.
