Ranunculus parviflorus
(Small-flowered
Buttercup) is a largish, occasional weed of waste
ground. The plant has numerous, spreading stems that curve upwards
to become erect towards their ends. The leaves are softly hairy,
rounded in outline, palmately lobed (though rarely deeply divided).
The flowers are only 3-6mm wide, have no more than 5 pale yellow
petals, and no more than 6 stamens. They are abundant on the
flowering stems.
