Ranunculus pimpinellifolius (Ranunculaceae) 1:14

Ranunculus pimpinellifolius is a small, native, alpine/subalpine rosette herb with hairy leaves. It is quite common in grassy places in the eastern mountains. The leaves are pinnate with 3-5 leaflets that in turn are usually shallowly lobed. It has a single flower about 1-1.5 cm wide on a stalk above the leaves. This species is very similar to R. decurvus, but the flowers are golden yellow instead of green-yellow and the flowering stalk is longer (about 2-12cm).
