Spyridium
ulicinum
is a medium to large, upright, many branched shrub. The leaves
are narrow and mostly distinctly pointed (like those of S.
eriocephalum, which a low growing shrub with flowers in
heads). However, some forms have narrowly wedge-shaped leaves with a
distinct notch at the apex (see photo).
It is quite widespread, but not abundant and grows in
woodlands.
