Rosa rubiginosa (Rosaceae) 1:177

Rosa rubiginosa (Briar) is a common introduced woody weed. It is spiny, and easily distinguished from Blackberry and other brambles by habit - it lacks the long spindly stems of brambles. It is more similar to Dog Rose (R. canina), but has hairy undersides to the leaves.
