Verbascum thapsus (Great Mullein) is a common
introduced herb. It is typically a rosette of leaves with a single
(rarely more) robust erect stem with progressively smaller leaves,
grading into the inflorescence. The leaves and stem are densely woolly
white with hairs. The stem may be more than 1m tall, and the basal
leaves may be about 20-30 cm long. The flowers are conspicuous and
yellow. |
