Asplenium (Aspleniaceae) |
|
|
Tasmania has
seven native species of Asplenium (spleenworts). These are
mostly epiphytic or grow on rocks. They have pinnate leaves, with
the pinnae either toothed or deeply lobed. The sporangia are in
elongated sori that are placed on the underside of the lamina
(though in some species they can appear to be at the margins). The
sori are covered by indusia, which take the form of an elongated
flap. |
