Cyathea
cunninghamii (slender tree fern) is one of Tasmania's three tree fern
species (all are native). It is very rare, and only found in small
populations in gullies widely spaced around the east, north and west
coasts. Its habit is very distinctive - very tall and slender. It
sometimes hybridises with the more common
C. australis to produce the
plants called Cyathea Xmarcescens. |
