| Tasmania has
one naturalised species of Araceae. White Arum Lily
(Zantedeschia aethiopicum) is a common garden plant that
persists in abandoned gardens (e.g. on old farms etc). It is quite
unmistakeable. The leaves have large heart-shaped laminas (~30 cm
long) at the ends of long petioles. The flowers are large,
asymmetrical, creamy white and tubular with a yellow column in
the centre. |
