DIPLOMA IN AQUACULTURE

The Diploma in Aquaculture is a two year course, suitable for students who have had some years in the workforce and/or with no formal education qualifications. The course equips students with theory and practice and is especially useful for those wishing to enter the aquaculture farm workforce. Students enjoy hands-on practical sessions, stock husbandry, field trips and site visits to some of Tasmania ’s best practice commercial fish farms. Work placement in industry is a core component of the course and often leads directly to employment within the industry.

Students who successfully complete the first year of the Diploma in Aquaculture can gain automatic entry to the 2nd year of the Bachelor of Aquaculture course. The Diploma course can also be completed part-time.
