The School of Aquaculture offers both Bachelor
of Aquaculture(Honours) and Bachelor
of Science(Honours) for graduates with an aquaculture, agriculture,
general biology, or aquatic science background wanting to gain training
and experience in aquacultural or aquatic research. A number of
exciting project opportunities exist within our very active research
program.
The Honours program can be undertaken on a full-time or part-time
basis, an option that is taken up by students already working in
industry. The program can also be started in either Feburary or
July.
Several scholarships are
available for entry to (full-time) Aquaculture Honours in
2005 or 2006. The scholarships target students with excellent
undergraduate records and provide a HECS exemption plus support
for accommodation, airfares and establishment, up to a maximum
of $10 000. Applications will be considered up to
29 October 2005.
The Honours course consists of a literature review, a research
proposal, two seminars, and a research project. Students choose
a project from those available and work closely with a supervisor
to generate an original research thesis. |

Students are required to complete all components of the course
and write and submit a bound thesis on their research project.
If you are interested in enrolling in a Bachelor of Aquaculture
(Hons) contact Dr
