areas of larval rearing, husbandry, health, nutrition, harvest
technology & product quality. Species include rock lobsters
and prawns.

Molluscan Aquaculture
Current research activities involve the oyster & mussel
industry looking at development of novel feeds for larvae,
control of broodstock conditioning & the process
of market conditioning.

Fin Fish Aquaculture
Research on freshwater & marine finfish rearing involves
established
commercial species,
new species & biological
model
species. Projects are undertaken
topics such as
egg incubation, larval & juvenile rearing, husbandry,
environmental influences, nutrition, growth, health, physiology
&
harvest technology. We are interested in Atlantic salmon,
striped trumpeter, barramundi, seahorses, and southern bluefin
tuna.
