The National Centre for Marine Conservation & Resource Sustainability (NCMCRS) welcomes international applicants for both
undergraduate and postgraduate study.
We recommend that you follow the steps below to gather the information you need.
1. Visit the International Student Office.
This site will provide you information about fees, programs
of study, and how to apply to the University of Tasmanian
to study here. The NCMCRS offers undergraduate,
and Graduate
Diploma and Masters, as well as PhD programs of study.
2. Email the International Student Office
Provide them with all relevant details about you, your education and experience so they can check that you have the necessary background to enter a program of study with us.
3. Make enquiries in your country about possible sources of funding to allow you to enrol and live in Australia.
The University of Tasmania does offer a limited number of scholarships for international students wishing to study here. Details about some of these scholarships can be obtained from the Scholarships Page, but more information is available by having a look at the International Student Homepage.
4. Submit a formal application of admission
These can be found on the Universities International Student Page. Academic staff in the School can provide guidance and suggestions about possible areas of research and projects if you decide that you are interested in studying here.
Applications are assessed on the degree that you currently
hold, research publications, awards, and science or industry
experience gained through a period of employment. We encourage
you to make sure that highlight these in your application.
Once the formal application is submitted, the NCMCRS will determine which program we will accept you into. This decision is based on your level of research training and publications, and area of research you wish to study. Therefore, your application should clearly indicate if a research thesis has been produced and what proportion of time was spent during the degree program on research. If you have produced a publication with co-authors indicate what your role in that research was.
More information can be found at Frequently
Asked Questions. Good luck and we look forward to seeing
you in our NCMCRS. |
