Marine Cargo (General) Insurance

Insured Interest	Loss, destruction or damage to property (new and used) whilst in transit by air, land and/or sea freight.
Definitions	Property ~ Includes household goods and personal effects of employees and others where the removal/transit has been arranged by the University but excludes individual consignments of $250 or less. No cover applies to household goods and effects in storage.
Conditions	From Ports and/or Places within the World to Ports and Places within the World.
Basis of Valuation	Landed Cost (repair cost if damaged or value if lost) at destination including duty, freight, incidental exposures and insurance with 10% added.
Major Exclusions	Consequential Loss from delay, loss market or interruption of business Electrical or mechanical derangement Inherent vice Insufficiency of packaging Wear and tear of the subject matter
Limit of Liability	$1,000,000 any one loss/shipment/location
Excesses	Interstate $250 or Overseas $1000 each and every claim.
Claims	1. Download a copy of the Cargo Transit Claim Form OR Home & Contents Transit Form . 2. Make a written claim on the Carrier and attach copy of correspondence with claim form. 3. Ensure relevant documents are attached. 4. Forward claim form and attachments to Insurance Officer, Locked Bag 1353 Launceston.

Marine Cargo (Antarctica) Insurance

Insured Interest	Equipment taken onto vessels in transit to and from Antarctica
Conditions	Institute Cargo Clause (A).
Exclusions	Consequential Loss from delay, loss market or interruption of business Electrical or mechanical derangement Inherent vice Insufficiency of packaging Wear and tear of the subject matter
Limit of Liability	$1,000,000 any one conveyance or location.
Excesses	$10,000 each and every claim
Claims	Contact Insurance Officer as soon as possible.

Marine Hull

Insured items	Hulls, Motors and Trailers as per schedule.
Conditions	Navigational Limits - Tasmanian Coastal and Inland Waters.
Coverage	-
Limit of Liability	$500,000
Excesses	$250 each and every claim.
Claims	Contact Insurance Officer as soon as possible.

Public and Products Liability

Coverage	For liabilities arising from personal injury (including death) and property damage in connection with the University’s business or from products manufactured, sold or supplied by the University. . Protection is subject to certain terms, exclusions, conditions and limitations.
Definitions	Product Liability ~ Liability for compensation for personal injury or property damage arising from certain classes of products is excluded unless agreed to by the Insurers. Please contact Shane Talbot (3514) for specific details.
Conditions	Anywhere in the world other than operations domiciled and/or entities incorporated in USA/Canada.
Limit of Liability	$20,000,000 in respect of any one claim or series of claims arising out of one event.
Excesses	$10,000 each and every claim.
Claims	1. Request copy of a 'Public Liability Claim Form' by contacting the Insurance Office. 2. Forward completed form to Insurance Officer, Locked Bag 1353 Launceston.

Professional Indemnity

Insured Interest	For legal liability to pay damages as a result of any claim or claims made against the University, protected person or entity arising out of any negligent act, error or omission in or about the conduct of the University’s professional business. - excluding Medical Malpractice. Protection is subject to certain terms, exclusions, conditions and limitations.
Conditions	Anywhere in the world other than operations domiciled and/or entities incorporated in USA/Canada.
Limit of Liability	$20,000,000 any one claim
Excesses	$10,000 each and every claim
Claims	1. Request a copy of the Professional Indemnity Claim Form by contacting the Insurance Office on ext. 3514. 2. Forward completed claim form to Insurance Officer, Locked Bag 1353 Launceston.
