Claims Procedures - ISR Property

When an item of University property is stolen or damaged, the following steps need to be taken:

  1. If there is an incidence of theft or malicious damage please contact the University security.

  2. Download and complete an ISR Property Claim Report by clicking on the PDF
    icon.

  3. Proof of purchase or ownership must be obtained either by supplying one of the following:
    a. Asset Number
    b. Tag Number
    c. Purchase Order
    d. Original Payment
    e. IDR

  4. A copy of quotations for any replacement items or repairs, including equipment on the University lease scheme.

  5. A copy of the University Security Report and a Police Report (If applicable) are also required.

  6. Send the original form and all attachments to the:

      Insurance Officer
      Financial Services
      Locked Bag 1-353
      Launceston 7250

 

Claims Procedures - Marine Transit

To lodge a claim for damaged furniture and effects for which the University has paid employee removal costs for, or for University equipment which has been damaged while in transit, please refer to the below procedure:

  1. Download and complete a Cargo/Transit Claim Report by clicking on the PDF
    icon.

  2. The following documents should be attached to the completed Claim Form
    a. A copy of the delivery docket, consignment note etc.
    b. A copy of the Customer Inventory Sheet from the freight company.
    c. A quotation/s for repairs and or replacement items.

  3. Send the original form and all attachments to the:

      Insurance Officer
      Financial Services
      Locked Bag 1-353
      Launceston 7250
