Business and Private Travel – Change to Guidelines
Financial Services wishes to advise that there has been an amendment to the number of private travel days considered to be incidental private days under the Business and Private Travel Guidelines for the band ‘1 to 30 Business Days’.
For ‘1 to 30 Business Days’ travellers can take up to five private travel days provided that the number of business days and private days are at least equal.
Examples:
- Two business days allows for up to two incidental private days
- Four business days allows for up to four incidental private days
- Nine business days allows for up to five incidental private days
Where private travel is not considered to be incidental to the business travel employees are required to reimburse 50% of the airfare.
Please refer to the Business and Private Travel Policy and Guidelines for further information.
Transitional Arrangements
Transitional arrangements are in place for those who have booked and /or confirmed travel arrangements that include incidental private travel based on the previous guidelines and there will not be any requirement to reimburse 50% of airfare.
