SØREN KIERKEGAARD KREDSEN/GRUPPEN: (IKN 156, 157): The Søren Kierkegaard Group founded the fund-holding Søren Kierkegaard Foundation on 23.6.1995. The committee consists of: Elmo Larsen (chairman), Erling Bevensee, Lis Møller-Jørgensen, Niels Jørgen Cappelørn and Niels Gade. Details from the status report of the foundation are available from: Lis Møller-Jørgensen, Bygaden 40 A, Søborg, 3250 Gilleleje, Denmark (Ph. + 42 29 15 58). Among the foundation's sponsors are Copenhagen Culture City 96 and Frederiksborg Amt. The Group held an extremely successful Kierkegaard exhibition at Gilleleje in 1996 (IKN 157) and have published Kim Leck Fischer's book with illustrations: I Søren Kierkegaards fodspor (In Søren Kierkegaard's Footsteps) (IKN 164 ) and the accompanying folders of Kierkegaard walks in North Zealand. (These are going to be made available in English). The Søren Kierkegaard Foundation has also published an illustrated book about the Gilleleje area: Kulturelle Ringveje/Graested-Gilleleje (available from the Gilleleje Tourist Office, Gilleleje Hovedgade 6 F, 3250 Gilleleje, 35 kroner + postal charges). A major project of the Søren Kierkegaard Foundation is the creation of an International Kierkegaard Museum and Research Retreat. However, a large amount of money is needed within a certain timespan if the project is to succeed, and it is very difficult to raise the necessary funds because of the nature of the project. Anyone who has tried to raise money for Kierkegaard projects, conferences and foundations, will appreciate the difficulty. So please do your best to help: You can help by becoming a member of The Søren Kierkegaard Group (Søren Kierkegaard Kredsen) and also by suggesting possible sources of funding you may know of. Please contact Lis Møller-Jørgensen at the address given above.
