The German jazz composer and pianist Maria Baptist has composed a piece to a Kierkegaard text for the Regina Quintet, to be played for the first time at the New Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen, October 31, 2000 kl. 20.00. This will be the Quintet's first performance in Denmark: Soprano: Bodil Øland; Guitar: Jan Sommer: Flute: Kerstin Thiele; Accordion: Allan Harboe Karlsson; Cello: Inger Guldbrandt Jensen. Music by: Rung, Kuhlau, Weise, Samuel Barber, Bent Lorentzen, John Frandsen, Sven Erik Werner, Maria Baptist (see above), and Lars Graugaard. Concert: The Regina Quintet (started 1999 by Jens Staubrand) from Denmark (first concert) played new Danish music to Kierkegaard texts. Bodil Øland (soprano), Inger Guldbrandt Jensen (cello), Kerstin Thiel (flute), Allan Harboe Karlsson (accordion), Jan Sommer (guitar). Bent Lorentzen's 'Den Lidendes Mund', John Frandsen's 'Lilien og Fuglen', and 'Når bølgerne vugger', Sven Erik Werner's 'Min sjael er spaendt som en bue', Lars Graugaard's 'Forbandet vaere du', and from Gudrun Lund's 'Ti tankevaekkende udsagn'.
