What is eReserve?
eReserve is a service that the Library provides which allows
you to access electronic versions of selected journal articles
and book chapters from reading lists.
If your reading list tells you that articles or chapters are
on electronic reserve (eReserve) you can find them using
the Library Catalogue.

From the Library's homepage
- Select Catalogue Search from the menu on the left.
- Choose the All Titles Alphabetical search option (this
is the default).
- Type in the title of the article (not the title of
the journal that the article appears in).
- Click Go

Nadler, D.A. & Tushman, M.L. 1990. "Beyond the charismatic
leader: leadership and organizational change", California Management
Review, 32 (2): 77-97.
- Type in: beyond the charismatic leader

Click on the URL message "Click here to view eReserve
document" to view the article
Finding book chapters on eReserve
Chapters from books are frequently placed on eReserve.
From the Library's homepage
- Select Catalogue Search from the menu on the left.
- Choose the General Keywords search option.
- Type in the title of the book that the chapter comes
from and the last name of the author of the book.
- Click Go
Example:
Kotler, P. 2000. Marketing Management. Upper Saddle River:
Prentice Hall. Chapter 3.
- Choose General Keywords
- Type in: marketing management kotler
- Click Go

- Click the down arrow next to Limit by:
- Choose Loc: eReserve. This will limit your search to
eReserve items only.
- Click the green Go symbol.

Click on the URL "Click here to view eReserve documents"
to view the chapter
Viewing eReserve articles and chapters
When you click the link that says Click here to view eReserve
document, you will be asked to enter your University of Tasmania
email username and password.

Click "Accept Copyright Agreement" to view article
or chapter

eReserve items are in PDF format, which means that you will need
Adobe Acrobat Reader software installed on your computer
to view them. If you do not have Acrobat Reader you may
download it free of charge from the Acrobat web site.
Once viewed, the document can be printed.
Close the window to return to the catalogue.
