The Online Training resources are available to all University of Tasmania staff & students using the ON-Line training materialfrom Electric Paper for the ICDL is FREE. The only cost involved is when you wish to sit the tests and attain ICDL.
Non-University clients will have to use an alternative method for accessing training materials.
Enrolling in the ICDL
When you enroll you will be issued with a Skills Card. This book must be bought with you to all testing. It has a unique identifying number stamped inside the cover.
The examiner of the testing center will fill in the appropriate slips in your booklet ( the Skills Card ) and send the results to the ACS on successful completion of a test. Once you have completed all 7 tests successfully, your Skills Card booklet will be submitted to the ACS and you will be issued with an International Computer Drivers License.
Testing
When you are ready for testing, you can fill in the TEST APPLICATION form. This will submit an application to the ICDL administrator here at the University of Tasmania and they will book a place for you at the next testing session. Currently testing sessions are as follows:-
Hobart ( Morris Miller Library ) - 4thFriday of each Month
Launceston - 4th Friday of each Month
You must book for a session at least one week prior to the session you want, otherwise you will not be booked in until the following month.
