Your ID Card is your Library Card
Your Student or Staff ID card provides proof of your identity and your membership of the University community. It is also your Library card. Carry your ID card with you at all times whilst on University property. It is required when:
- borrowing books;
- enquiring about e-mail;
- to charge and access your CAPS account for photocopying and printing;
- enquiring about 24 hour access accounts.
Cards are issued by Student Administration in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie. Staff should ask Human Resources about getting an ID card issued. Ask at the Library about borrower cards (and photocopying cards) if you are not a student or staff member of the University of Tasmania.
ID cards should not be lent to any other person!
You are responsible for all items borrowed on your card unless you reported the card's loss to the Library before the item was borrowed.
If you change your address, please let the Library know your new address at your nearest service point and email Student Administration.
