Distinguishing features: Common shrub of lowland areas. Flower heads clustered in groups. Leaves linear, a little rough, usualy revoluate or with recurved margins. Stems uniformly hairy. Can be confused with Ozothamnus dendroideum (in which the leaves are flat or only slightly recurved, and the hairs on the stems are mainly lined up in lines coming down from leaf bases), O. thyrsoideus and various other Ozothamnus species.
